Biggest assets are quality and maximized functionality in minimal footprint
I'm very impressed with this product. Quality is top notch as noted by others.

I also wanted to address my original concern with someone's comment about top buttons (triggers) being loud and difficult to press: it's quite the opposite. While not touch-sensitive (capacitive), these surrounding buttons require low pressure to activate and emit a soft click. An interesting surprise was finding out that the middle button is a capacitive one.

I am using this product for Serato Scratch Live and it's perfect for my needs.

FYI, logitech has discontinued this product. They even pulled the drivers off the website. So - regarding some people's issues with usability with software packages (like having to continue to use CS2 while waiting for Nulooq to support CS3 for example) - if this product stops working with the next upgrade you will either have to 1.) not upgrade your software or 2.) stop using this device. So get this only if you plan on using compatible (old?) software for a while.

Not for OSX Leopard users
The problem with this navigator is that Logitech abandoned support and updates for OSX 10.5. So it will still work for zooming in and out of applications and scrolling but there's no software to customize applications to interact with the navigator.
I used it extensively for Photoshop in OSX 10.4 and it was very efficient to speedup my workflow. Too bad Logithech decided to strip this great tool of its functionality.

SOLUTION TO EXCESS HEAT-PLUS, PLUS
I purchased this because (1) it fit my 17" Laptop; (2) had two fans and (3) was clearly unobtrusive (clear Lucite construction). It provides a solution to the inherent over-heating problem with Toshiba's 17" laptop that caused many, many crashes ever since purchased in April '08. I was pleasantly surprised at the new ease of typing provided by the designed angle of this stand, a feature that I hadn't originally considered. They even included a USB port to balance the one it uses. Finally, the price and sale. How can you beat it and at my door in 24! "I mean hours, boy! Hours!" as Foghorn Leghorn would say. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

great product...mostly...
The palm rest and touchpad button covers are great...good fit, easy to apply. I was also able to easily peel up and then reset the palm rest cover easily. The only problem I have with the product is the film that is intended to cover the touchpad itself. I changed the texture of the touchpad with the end result being a slight "stickier" feel. I removed the touchpad film after about a day of trying it out.

Top notch product with a hiccup
I purchased this product to protect my new 15" Macbook Pro's palm rest area and mouse button from discolouration. The product serves this purpose exceptionally well, and its matching colour scheme allows me to use my laptop without distraction. Here's a more detailed look.

1) Material/Quality
The palm and mouse button protection are made out the same sturdy, flexible plastic material which matches the interior aluminum of the Macbook pro in colour, but not in texture. The guard has a pleasant grainy texture instead, and does not feel like cheap plastic. While the cut of the button piece is exact, the palm guard gives you maybe 0.2mm of space (almost unnoticeable) in portions of the trackpad area. Overall, an excellent fit.

My main problem with this set is the thin silvery film that is included as a trackpad cover. It is made out of a completely different material from the other two pieces, and seems thin enough not to interfere with trackpad sensitivity. I initially applied it for a day, to test out whether the trackapad is affected. Unfortunately, I found that it was. The trackpad was no longer as sensitive to tapping, and it would sometimes take me 3 attempts to double click. If you naturally have a heavy tap, you probably wouldn't be affected by this problem. But I'm a light tapper, and I found myself needing to apply more pressure than what I'm used to when the trackpad film was on. I ended up removing the film and returning it to its box--though your mileage may vary. Trackpads aren't prone to discolouration in the first place, so this doesn't much take away from the overall quality of the product.

2) Application
Applying the product is very straightforward. There are three pieces, each of which is sticky on one side. All you need to do is align it properly, grab a ruler, and press out potential air bubbles --while-- you're applying the guard. Do not wait until later! If you do find that you have air bubbles, it it easier to gently pull up at one of the corners of the palmguard and unstick it to release the air. Remember to pull gently and not to bend the material too much: the plastic can flex a great deal without creasing or stretching, but you should be careful. I had to apply mine a couple of times before I got it the way I wanted it. The entire application took no more than 5 minutes, including the first failed attempt.

I would very much like to give this product 5 stars, but because of the trackpad film, it's not perfect. It gets 4.5 stars from me. As the previous reviewer already stated, this product does not disrupt the beautiful look and feel of the macbook pro. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to protect their macbook without altering its image.

The Design, feel, and fit
I truly love the design. The Palmguard just looks awesome on my white Macbook. Since the material which is used is very similar to the original top case it blends in very well. I especially like the little logo in the right bottom corner - now that is elegant understatement of the finest. The feel is very nice also. Because of the material which is used, there is no "sticky feeling" like with other palmrest protectors. The fit of the Palmguard is very exact, too.

To summarize:
I think if you are on the search for palmrest protection only this is the one that fits the best (color-wise and material wise) and feels the best when resting your palms on it.

Final thoughts:
I recommend this product to all Macbook owners that want protection for the palmrest area and want to do it without attracting too much attention. From a distance you won't be able to notice the Palmguard because it doesn't reflect, because it matches the color of the top case very well and finally because there is no large company logo on it.

Awesome product at an awesome price
I purchased a new aluminum MacBook a few weeks ago, and picked this up the other day. Shipping was very quick, and the fit of it is excellent. There is no problem at all with the screen not closing like with other keyboard skins. The skin fits over each individual key perfectly, and doesn't fall off if you turn the computer upside down and shake it around.

It also, contrary to what I've read about keyboard skins in general on Macs, doesn't effect the CPU temperature and other internal temperatures of the hardware. Overall a very good product!

Fabulous
I have 4 kids and tons of video and photos, so I had to do something. Great for storage and for backups. I use this with my macbook - yes, it DOES work with OS X (use disk utility), even though they don't list it. I'm very pleased with this purchase and the great price!

Great performance!
It could not be easier indeed! After reding a lot of reviews from different brands and models, I finally made up mind to buy this beast. And boy oh boy, everything is easy! Just plug the power, plug the USB, and you're ready to roll! Just follow the intructions on the screen. What I like about this is it's very quiet. ;) The built of the unit feels very solid and compact. This is exactly what I'm looking for in an external hard drive. Transfering my movies was a breeze. It's fast! Everything was perfect for me! woot woot! ;) I recommend this to anyone looking for anexternal hard drive. I'm extremely pleased.

Works perfectly; a pleasure to use and own
I have been a PC nut since the Apple II and original IBM PC, and backup technology is just now getting good for us small office and home users. I have tried tape backup units, DVDs, and other classic solutions, never with real confidence that my data was stored safely. This 1TB HDD from Seagate really is a superb backup unit. On the competent advice of my IT professional, I bought this unit to back up my home office and digital photograph library.

I bought two of the earlier (black finish) versions of this unit, and they too are very nice, and the installation is identical and as far as I can tell, so is the backup software.

The unit is very nicely built. It has a nice silver finish, and is designed to either mount horizontally or vertically, so most users will have no difficulty finding a place on even the busiest desktop for this compact unit. The nice finish combined with the attractive LED lighting make this an appropriate addition to any desktop. Minor quibble: could they not have mounted the little rubber feet rather than forcing the user to do it?

The unit installed effortlessly. You simply plug it into the power supply, and attach the USB (or firewire) connector to the computer. On my Windows XP machine a menu came right up asking me if I wanted to install the backup software with which the unit comes equipped. I let it do so, and in a minute or so the software was installed and the 1TB HDD was shown in my Computer directory as ready to go. No need for reading anything; true plug and play. The unit is quiet and unobtrusive; it just does its job without annoying the user in any way. Nice!

I did install the backup software, and it seems to be very nice. The software enabled me to schedule a nightly backup for every night, and that is an absolute first for me for my home office. A very nice feeling to know that one has one's files safely backed up. And one can easily view the contents of the unit to actually see the backed-up files.

This is a USB2 unit, so transfer speeds are not as fast as a SCSI drive would be, but usually this is not an issue with the type of use I plan, as routine backups and storage in increments does not take long. For my needs, and I imagine for most users, this unit is speedy enough.

Incidentally, the unit is formated NTFS, so no need to reformat it to get rid of FAT32 format as is the case with some drives. It truly was ready to go for my Vista system.

So far I am extremely pleased with this unit. It is a fast, well-built, well-designed and cost-effective solution to mass storage of data.

amazing...but get the extended warranty
my 23" cinema display worked beautifully right up until 3 weeks after the 1 year warranty was up and then it just went black. I was forced to have Apple send it to there repair people for a flat fee of $450. I do find it rediculous that a high end product like this lasted just 13 months till it died. I guess I got the short end of the stick on this one. I really should have gotten the extended warranty which would have covered it for 3 years. But I figured I have had TV's last forever.

As a monitor, it is one of the best. We use it as a our color corrected monitor for high end photography for major ad agencies and magazines worldwide.

I just wish it did not suddenly go black, apparently due to some kind of inner power circuit. And then had no choice but to use there "flat" $450 repair. Which by the way, has only a 90 day warranty from the new repair.

So get the extended warranty and enjoy it.

Was a great monitor, but now outdated and soon to be replaced.
This monitor lacks a lot of features, and it makes sense because it was released in mid 2004. Apple has also officially DISCONTINUED it if you look on their web site. I'd encourage people to wait until Macworld '09 in SF this January, where they will likely introtuce new models with more competitive features (wide gamut, better viewing angles, contrast ratio, etc). If you need a monitor right now I'd look into NEC's high end 24" and 26" monitors.

Overpriced
Apple monitors are seriously overpriced. It is a decent monitor, just much too expensive. For your money there are better alternatives.

If you want a good photo editing 24in LCD look at the NEC 2490WUXi. It is about 200 more but the screen is much better. It has an A-TW polarizer which increases the viewing angle and comes with an internal LUT for better calibration. Colorcomp help insure even colors across the the screen. Check out Reviews and you will find it is a pro quality monitor that matches monitors 2-3x the price. There is also a 26in version (2690WUXi) that is Wide Gamut, for those than need it. It is about 100$ more for that version. There are "spectraview" packages that include a one eye calibrator and NEC's software. Check out Hardforum.com for LOTS of good info on the subject.

Love this Product
I saw this at a Sony showroom in Singapore while I was travelling there on my honemoon trip. I loved this product, but it was not for sale there. They did not know where they bought it from, and I kept looking for this at every small/big computer accessories store, but could not find it. Unbelievable!
I was terribly disappointed with the lousy sound on my new laptop. so I searched Amazon for speakers. They arrived today (13 days after I ordered them?), but I believe it was worth the wait. Fabulous! I agree with another reviewer that if you're an audiophile these might not be for you, but I was truly amazed at the difference. Do not hesitate to order if you hate that tinny sound on your laptop.
